…and other professional sellers. Whether you have a one-time inventory of several hundred records, an entire store or warehouse to clear, or records coming into your business on a regular basis, we’d like to hear from you.
We’re not only looking for one-time collections.
If records regularly come through your business, Record City can become a long-term buying partner.
When records come in, call Record City toll-free at (877) 293-1621.
Our goal is to create a simple outlet for businesses that encounter records but may not have the time, expertise, space, or sales channels to handle them efficiently.
A business buyer may only want the easiest records to resell. Record City’s model is different. Because we specialize in music and sell records to customers around the world, we can consider a much broader range of material.
Mixed inventories are welcome.
Selling in bulk shouldn’t mean ignoring valuable records. Large inventories can contain rare pressings, promotional copies, private pressings, unusual international releases and other valuable records.
Our buying team considers the actual contents of the inventory when evaluating a significant collection. Large quantity does not automatically mean one bulk price for everything.
We’ve been buying and selling records since 1991.
Our team understands records, labels, pressings, genres and collector demand.
Hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands — or more.
Large inventories and collections are a core part of our business.
Record City serves music customers internationally.
A record that moves slowly in one local market may have demand somewhere else in the world. That gives us the ability to consider a broad range of inventory.
If your company regularly receives records, we don’t want you to have to find a new buyer every time.
We can discuss establishing a repeatable process for future inventory.
Take several photos showing the overall inventory. There is no need to photograph every record individually for the initial inquiry.

Our buying team will review the information and may request additional photographs or details.
Depending on the size, value and location, we can discuss shipping, delivery, pickup or an on-site evaluation.
If records regularly come through your business, we can discuss a continuing buying arrangement.
Closing a store? Reducing inventory? Clearing a warehouse?
Record City buys record store inventories ranging from hundreds of records to tens of thousands of items.
You don’t necessarily need to separate the valuable records from the common records before contacting us. Tell us what you have and let us look at the inventory as a whole.
For significant inventories, we can discuss an on-site evaluation and the logistics required to move the collection.
Records that don’t fit your operation may fit ours.
Records often arrive at resale businesses as part of larger purchases, donations, estates or household clearances. Some may be easy to sell. Others may require specialist knowledge. And sometimes the volume simply becomes too large to process efficiently.
We are particularly interested in discussing ongoing relationships with companies that receive records regularly.
Instead of disposing of them or letting them sit in storage, talk to Record City.
Found a large record collection in an estate?
A lifetime record collection can contain hundreds, thousands or even tens of thousands of records. Determining what is valuable can be difficult without specialized music knowledge.
You don’t need to identify every valuable record before contacting us. Send us several photographs showing the overall collection, approximate quantity and location. We’ll tell you whether we’d like to investigate further.
If your company regularly encounters record collections, we’d also like to discuss an ongoing business relationship. When you find records, contact Record City before they are discarded.
Before records go into the dumpster, send us a photo.
House cleanouts, apartment cleanouts, commercial cleanouts and property clearances sometimes uncover significant record collections. What appears to be a stack of old records may include collectible or valuable material.
If you discover a large quantity of records, CDs or music-related material, contact us before disposing of it.
You don’t need to know what the records are worth. Just send us photos. A few photographs of the shelves, boxes or room may be enough for us to determine whether we should take a closer look.
Records and music collections are sometimes left behind in houses, commercial properties, clubs, studios, stores and warehouses scheduled for renovation or demolition.
If records or a music collection are discovered during a clearance project, please contact us before disposal. For larger collections, we can discuss whether an on-site evaluation is appropriate.
The seller must have the legal authority to sell or dispose of the property.
Record City can evaluate substantial quantities of records and music-related inventory.
If you have pallets, shelves, boxes or an entire warehouse containing records, send us photos and approximate quantities.
Record collections can be difficult to evaluate when music is not your primary specialty.
If a collection appears too specialized or too large for your normal sales process, contact our buying team.
Take a few photos and contact us first.
What looks like old inventory, unwanted property or material destined for disposal may still have a market.
Records come into your business. Record City gives them another market.
One collection or thousands of records. One transaction or an ongoing supply relationship.
If your business encounters records, CDs or music collections, we want to hear from you.
